Young Kuwaiti artist Mariam Bader AlـQatami, daughter of well known Kuwaiti formative artist Bader Al-Qatami Inaugurated her gallery on December 2009 at the Ahmad AlـAdwany Hall in Dahyet Abduallah AlـSalem.
Her 29 very expressive and close to reality paintings reflected images of everyday life. AlـQatami presented a collection of various oil paintings that follow the school of reality, AlـQatami did not forget to illustrate Kuwait's traditional culture, though the framework reflected women’s privacy as she did in two paintings called "Wedding". The young artist also had a portray painting of her father, called "Bader AlـQatami in London" reflecting her attachment to him as a father and painter.
It is obvious that Mariam AlـQatami, who studied art to enrich her talent, is aware of the importance of Arabic traditions where she emphasized the significant meaning of horses in the Arab world since they resemble strength and dignity. We hope to see Mariam AlـQatami in other exhibitions.
