After Polar Express, Robert Zemeckis brings before you another Christmas saga - Charles Dickens' classic novel A Christmas Carol. This 3-D film was produced through the process of performance capture, a technique which he used in Polar Express.
The entire movie revolves around Ebenezer Scrooge - the miser who undergoes a profound transformation after being visited by three ghosts - of Past, Present and Future. They help bring kindness to his otherwise cold heart. The Ghosts remind him of the man he used to be, the hard truth of what the world is today, and what will happen if he does not strive to be a better man. Jim Carrey portrays Scrooge, as well as the three ghosts (Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come).
Jim Carrey’s A Christmas Carol was number one at the box office this weekend earning $31 million. I’m not surprised that of all the movies to debut this weekend this one topped them all.
