If you have a teacher who just doesn't seem to like you, learn how you can like your teacher, or at least get along with them so that you can focus on your education:
• Pay attention; don't talk to your friends during a class. Don't constantly stare at the clock; don’t ask the teacher about the time that the class ends, this will make you look as if you don’t care. Don't have side conversations while the teacher is talking or leading a discussion. Always pay attention in class and avoid chatting with other students. Listen when your teacher is talking. Don't be rude to your teacher. Don't laugh when the teacher make a mistakes. Don't play while your teacher is talking.
• Understand that your teacher has more experience and knowledge than you do. If the teacher said anything incorrect, such as the wrong number in a calculation, you can offer a polite correction. The teacher may appreciate that the correct answer can keep the class on track and that you were paying attention. However, some teachers don’t like being corrected in front of the class.
• Participate; Ask questions if you don't understand something, and the teacher will be happy to answer it for you. Do your homework on time and have some questions prepared in advance for the next class. When the teacher sees that you are raising your hand and trying to think through the assignment, he will have more respect for you. Do your best to keep grades up on each piece of work and each quiz.
• Respect the teacher you hate just as much as the teacher you love. By hiding your true feelings towards any teacher, you can remain on every teacher's good side.
• Attend class ready to learn; be prepared for class with the right pencils, books, and completed assignments. Do your best, whether it's a classroom assignment, homework, or a test.
• Wait; If you want to discuss something that is not directly related to class discussion, wait until before or after class. If you talk during class, the teacher may feel interrupted.
• Don't cheat during tests and exams. If you get caught, your teacher will be disappointed with you and you will get a mark of zero.
• Give it time; you may not feel immediately comfortable with your teacher, but that may change as you get to know one another. If you are still having problems, talk with your parents about what to do next. Lots of times, a meeting can be set up to discuss the problem
• Transfer; Although it's not recommended that you do this all the time, it might be best to transfer to another class if the teacher's demeanor or attitude is really going to make learning difficult.
