How to Save Money at the Supermarket?

SUP1

All of us are looking for ways to save more money at the supermarket. So How to slash your grocery bill?

Make a List. First, before you go to the grocery market; make a list of items you need to buy. Make your list at least one day before you head to the supermarket. People with a prepared shopping list spend less because they know all of the items they need.

Never Go to the Supermarket Hungry. So have a snack before you head to the supermarket. When you are hungry, you are more likely to buy more items especially ones you don't need.

Buy Locally Produced Products. I usually buy products which I know are locally produced so there are no added costs to import them. I usually do this especially when I’m buying dairy products.

Shop Sale Days. Most supermarkets here in Kuwait have special 1 day sales with fantastic buys especially if you planning to buy fruit and vegetables. Find the stores in your area that offer these types of promotions, and handle your grocery shopping on these days.

Change where you Shop. I know it’s difficult but it’s one of the simplest ways to save money on your supermarket shopping is simply to change where you shop; most of us simply shop in the same places out of habit.

Buy in Bulk. Stores like Carrefour and The Sultan center or even other supermarkets, sell items in bulk which is good. For paper goods and cleaning supplies, you can find some good bargains at Carrefour and Sultan center and other supermarkets. Just be careful to only buy the items you need. Try your best not to buy something that you don't really need.

Try a Supermarket Brand. Sometimes the difference in price of a product reflects the ingredients. If they are the same then you are getting the same product for less money.

My favorite places to buy groceries
:
1- Kaifan Supermarket
2- Qourtba Supermarket
3- Yarmouk Supermarket
4- Sultan Center
5- Carrefour

Ministry of Defense Coop is the cheapest but I don't like their fruits and vegetables. Salwa Coop and Lulu Hyper Market are good
