A few weeks back, our collogues wrote a piece about the dangers of mobile roaming charges, which I read and followed to the letter. To my surprise, I discovered another hidden danger, as I am a BlackBerry service user.
Yesterday, I paid over 155 KD for a few days of BlackBerry service while traveling, at first I did not believe it, but I had to pay it to avoid losing my entire phone service.
All indications are that you will be charges 60 fils per 3 seconds of connectivity!?
Not even our contact within Zain was able to shed light on this issue. So as a word of advice; unless you will make hundreds of KDs using your BlackBerry while traveling, I would suggest you turn the Data service OFF while roaming.
Here is how you can protect yourself:
Goto -
Options
Mobile Network
Data Service
and select "Off When Roaming"
My service is provided by Zain, I am not sure how the other operators charge for BlackBerry data roaming.
What remains fishy, is how no one within the operators knows anything about the charging mechanisms for BlackBerry.

أرخص أفضل حتى لو تستخدمها بالكويت
شركت موبايلي أستخدمها ألان للبلاك بيري فقط 100 ريال أقل من 10 دنانير
شوفو الناس ... ألي تقدر
